Agricultural ties between the European Union and the Government of Cameroon is at its highest level.
The information is made public by Hans Peter Schadek, Head of the European delegation to Cameroon during an audience granted him by Henri Eyebe Ayissi Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
According to the diplomat, the visit was another opportunity to consolidate the partnership between the European Union and Cameroon in the agricultural domain.
Just recently both parties agreed on a support program aimed at developing the rural domain in particular and the agricultural domain in general.
Concerning the access of the Cameroonian banana in the European market, the diplomat argued that it has taken a step forward “it is about maintaining or even improving competitiveness of Cameroonian bananas for it to easily have access to the European market. Most especially it’s widely appreciated. The advantage lies on the fact that it can be exported with no customs fees as agreed in the agreement signed by the State of Cameroon with the European Union”.
