The Head of State, H.E President Paul Biya has been authorized by the National Assembly to ratify four major Acts of the Republic of Cameroon.
This was the outcome of the Plenary Sitting of Monday December 4 at the House Chamber of the National Assembly. At the end of this sitting, four Bills were adopted.
The Adopted Bills; N° 1018/PJL/AN, N° 1014/PJL/AN, N° 1015/PJL/AN and N° 1016/PJL/AN; will go a long way to strengthen the country’s Air transport system, protocol to the Constitutive Act of the African Union relating to the Pan-African Parliament, the illicit trade in Arms and new Investments.
Before adoption, the reports of these Bills were presented and defended by the respective ministerial heads.
The highlight of this Plenary Session which was solely dedicated for a general debate on these four laws was the absence of the members of the SDF Parliamentary Group.
As stated by the House Speaker, Right Hon. Cavaye Yeguie Djibril upon adoption, these laws shall be registered and published according to the procedure of urgency and inserted in the official Gazette in English and French.
In the meantime, eight government Ministers have been programmed to past this Monday in view of defending their various Ministerial budgets for the 2018 financial year before members of the Finance and Budget Committee.
