The Minister of Communication, Issa Tchiroma Bakary has defended his Ministerial budget for the 2018 financial year.
The communication boss submitted a budgetary request of FCFA 4 billion 390 million on Monday December 4 before members of the Finance and Budget Committee of the National Assembly.
With an envelope of the demanded sum, Issa Tchiroma’s ministry hope to attain their set priorities for the year 2018; revitalize public and private communication, prepare for the 2019 AFCON and to build Cameroon’s image abroad.
These needs fall under two broad programs; The Operational Program , entitled “Optimizing Offer and Access to Information” to be completed with the sum of FCFA 2 billion 378 million 450,000.
The Support Program entitled “Governance and Institutional Support of the Communication Sub-Sector” with FCFA 2 billion 11 million 550,000 allocated.
Before the Communication Minister, the Ministers of Small and Medium Size Enterprises, Laurent Serge Etoundi Ngoa and Public Works, Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi defended pass the Finance and Budget Committee.
