The members of parliament will in the days ahead vote and adopt the state budget of the republic of Cameroon for the 2018 Financial year.
This comes after the passage of the National Assembly and the Minister of Finance, on Wednesday December 6, 2017 before members of the Finance and Budget Committee of the National Assembly.
The exchange between the National Assembly and the committee members was an opportunity for the National Assembly to present and defend its budget for the 2018 financial year.
The budget defended by Hon Awudu Mbaya, stands at FCFA 20.23 billion billion; recurrent budget 17.823 billion and the public investment budget 3.200 billion.
The minister of finance, Alamine Ousman Mey on his part came in as the only personality to pass twice before the Finance and Budget committee, after defending his ministerial budget, he had to defend the total budget.
The budget us expected to be adopted in the next plenary sitting.
