The government of Cameroon together with the World Food Program will mobilize the sum of CFAF 102 billion in view of saving some hunger struck regions of Cameroon.

The General Office of the Word Food Program (WFP) and the Cameroonian government shall officially launched from January 2018 a two years strategic plan 2018-2020 having as principal aim enhancing food security in the Far North, North, Adamaoua and East regions of Cameroon, also  known as the poorest in the country.

In an interview granted to Business in Cameroon, Abdoulaye Balde, resident representative of the World Food Program in Cameroon stated that, in other to achieve the above determined objectives, both parties recently agreed on gathering around 183 billion dollars, which is almost CFAF102 billion.

Through various initiatives, this plan should enable reduce all forms of malnutrition among children, supply food to primary-school children in the regions mentioned above, enhance incomes of small-scale farmers and implement community infrastructures.
