The Indian government has officially instigated the Electronic Visa in Cameroon.
The information revealed by the Ministry of External Relations states that the Indian consulate in Douala has decided to officially make of Cameroon, a country eligible for the Indian Electronic Visa (e-visa).
In other words, Cameroonians holders of a normal passport, wishing to travel to India are not obliged to go to the consulate in Douala in view of requesting a physical visa.
Cameroon then figures among the countries whose citizens are allowed to have an Indian e-visa.
However, it should be noted that, Cameroon was already benefiting from this online ease. Meanwhile local airline companies arguing that such visas had not yet been formally accepted did not allowed bearers to embark.
Henceforth, Cameroonian travellers should do online request 4 days before the date of arrival.
The visa issued has 30 days validity and for a single entrance in India.
It is advisable to have a copy of the e-visa during the trip.
Biometric data (digital finger prints, digital photos) will be collected at the immigration office in India.
