According to Maurice Kamto, the President of the Republic could have sent a political delegation composed of religious leaders, traditional leaders from different regions, and representatives in political parties, in order to carry a message of peace accompanied by de-escalation measures.
“Secession is not an option. No serious Cameroonians can speak of secession.
Not only is it contrary to the constitution, but it is contrary to the deep and fundamental unity of our country, “said the president of the MRC.
He also commented on Amnesty International’s latest report on the exactions of the Cameroonian army in the fight against Boko Haram.
