Cameroon is preparing to face important electoral deadlines in 2018.
This is why the International Organization of La Francophonie dispatched a mission that to Yaoundé since last Monday to accompany the country from the beginning the end of this long process. We have more details on that story in the following report.
The commission was led by the former Prime Minister of Burkina Faso, and also former president of the Economic Community of West African States, Desiré Kadré Ouedraogo, who’s main objective was to meet all the major actors of the Cameroonian political scene.
Mr. Ouedraogo met with the Honorable Cavaye Yeguié Djibril, President of the National Assembly of Cameroon and the spoke about relevant electoral issues and the state of democracy in Cameroon. He reported satisfied after the PAN cabinet.
The International Organization of La Francophonie also had several meetings with other actors of the electoral process in the country.
