“The forces of disorder will face the forces of law and order on the 1st of October, 2017”
This was a statement made by the Senior Divisional Officer, SDO, for Fako, Engamba Emmanuel Ledoux during the installation of the new Divisional Officer, DO, for Tiko Sub Division, Asongwe Cletus, who got challenged to stay off political matters so that it wouldn’t cuts across his job linings.
The new ‘chef terre’ who was making another come back into the South West Region, given he had been a one time Assistant SDO fo Fako was no doubt confident that he was up to the tasked to conque all challenges that would come his way in what ever dimension.
“Giving you powers today to begin your activities in this sub division means you must do what is expected of you. There are clandestine activities taking place in the sub division, most especially in the border. He must ensure that those unwanted activities are stopped and order put in so that the area could regain its plight of place in the region” extract of the SDO’s Speech.
The SDO could not have addressed the new DO without touching the anglophone crisis. He however, condemned what he teamed acts of terrorism staged by the English speaking Cameroonians and say the destructive attitude of protesters was very much unwelcoming. It is with that the SDO called on the incoming DO to ensure the non respect of ghost town which has paralysed businesses in the sub division for quite sometime now. He will do that by making good use of the forces of law and order so that peace could once more be regain and people go back to their preoccupations SDO Engamba sustained.
On his part, the lord Mayor of Tiko municipality, Chief Daniel Mokoundo, echoed that “We are all happy today because the new DO is someone who already knows the terrain. Given he has a good mastery of the sub division where he had been a onetime first assistant SDO for the division, we are no doubt certain he will greatly contribute his quarter so we joinly make Tiko a better place to stay. Like every other people, we have our own priorities. I think the first thing we will do in the says ahead is to seat together and see what we can put as priority number one and from there I will take the first step as mayor of the town”
The chiefs of Tiko sub division led by Chief Ndike Richard of Mondoni joinly handed down a symbolic gift to the new DO. They welcomed him with a called for him to do his job deligently and follow the foot steps of his predecessors.
Also present at the event ground to graze it were Senators, MPs, chiefs of Tiko sub division and other government dignitaries.
