Amazon FAP football club of Yaounde has won the 2017 Women’s Cup of Cameroon.
The club sponsored by the Army and Police Forces, FAP tasted silver wear for the first time in history after defeating their longtime rivals, Louves Minproff 2-1 in a high profile final on Wednesday, November 15 at the Yaounde military stadium.
FAP took any early courtesy of Nkou Ghisaine Odile just after five minutes of play and Ngatchou Degoue Linda Rostane double their lead just before halftime.
Five minutes into the second half, Touta Ornela reduced the deficit for Louves Minproff; but the score line will remain unchanged till the end of the match.
FAP play maker, Nkou Ghisaine Odile won the best player award while her fellow teammate and captain, Ngo Ndom Annette Flore won the best goalkeeper prize.
To the jubilating girls of FAP, they have finally gotten their revenge after losing the finals of the last two editions, 2015 and 2016 to the same opposition.
